# SPUR Innovation Centre

SPUR Innovation Centre spurs innovation. We help individuals, startups, and innovators develop revolutionary technology - giving them the capital, compute, talent, and physical space to turn an idea into a company.

We are a Canadian frontier-tech venture studio and infrastructure operator. From a 700,000 sq ft Waterloo headquarters and more than 2 million sq ft of innovation and data-centre space across Canada, we build companies and the sovereign infrastructure they run on.

## The campus

The SPUR Innovation Centre is the former BlackBerry headquarters in Waterloo, Ontario - a 700,000 sq ft, four-building campus we acquired in 2025 and reopened as a world-class data centre, R&D space, and venture-studio hub. It is backed by a secondary site and more than 2 million sq ft of additional innovation and data-centre space across Canada.

## Sovereign and standards-driven

Everything SPUR operates stays under Canadian jurisdiction - no US CLOUD Act exposure - and is PIPEDA-compliant by default. Our compute and operations are engineered to meet and exceed SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 standards, with public verification rather than "trust us."
